Senior Accounts Executive - KL Eco City

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including verification of payment and receipt transactions, and timely, accurate bookkeeping.
  • Review and process employee expense reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate accounting entries.
  • Maintain detailed records of accounts receivable and payable, overseeing transactions with customers and vendors.
  • Collaborate with business departments to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data and support cross-functional alignment.
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, provisions, and cost allocations, ensuring proper matching of income and expenses.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
  • Prepare and submit consolidated financial and management reports in line with group or corporate reporting timelines.
  • Support internal process improvement initiatives, aiming to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations and reporting.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, assisting with the preparation of audit schedules and compliance documentation during the annual audit.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax filing requirements, supporting VAT, CIT, and other statutory submissions.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks assigned by superiors, including special projects, analysis, or financial support initiatives.

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-set accounting experience, including general ledger, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience managing full-cycle company annual audits.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are considered an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in the courier, logistics, or transportation industry will be considered an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Experienced in accounting and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, Kingdee, or Yonyou.
