AMEC Announcement

Dear valued customer,

The Association of Malaysian Express Carriers wishes to highlight the implementation of restrictions and precautionary measures in place under the Movement Control Order and other similar restrictions and measures by other countries worldwide to limit the transmission of COVID-19 which is now declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization has caused disruption to the provision of postal services which are beyond the control of postal service providers. With transportation by land, air and sea being impossible to predict and control, reduced workforce with order and guidelines in place, transportation or flight delays or cancellations and other restrictions or prohibitions imposed under the Movement Control Order and by various countries worldwide, delays or inability to deliver a mail or parcel are to be expected.

The Association of Malaysian Express Carriers is therefore declaring a situation of force majeure until such time the COVID-19 pandemic is contained and transportation services returns to a state of normalcy. Whilst our members will use their best endeavors and efforts to continue to provide postal services during the current COVID-19 pandemic and assist its customers in keeping their supply chains up and running, our members reserve the right to review and/or modify its services based on the prevailing circumstances to the COVID-19 pandemic.
