Logistic Start-up J&T Express Surmounts 11.11 With Strategic Operational Planning.
Aims to deliver superior service and guns for market share by leveraging on e-commerce growth.
Kuala Lumpur, 16th November 2019 – Logistic start-up J&T Express concluded the 2019 11.11 Single’s Day Sale Fiesta with a solid tenth times surge in parcel volume as compared to 2018. It also successfully recorded a 92% completion rate for its deliveries during this period. J&T Express having been around for only a year, marks a huge milestone as it sailed through the 9.9, 10.10 and 11.11 sales fruitfully.
J&T Express as the official logistic partner for Shopee in the e-commerce platform, welcomes the festive 11.11 with a strategic operational plan. Preparing a month before 11.11 hits the shore, J&T Express Malaysia operation team gathered together to give their insights and discuss the methods on how to improve shipping more efficiently.
The Single’s Day Sales was at its peak and the public was very enthusiastic towards the end of the year. In addition, e-marketplaces are quickly becoming a “lifestyle destination” for shoppers as it moves away from pure trading by incorporating interactive shopping experiences through entertainment such as gaming, point collection and live broadcasts streaming and more.
As a player in the e-commerce support industry, this economic expansion runs parallel with J&T Express’s growth. In a short period, J&T Express has scaled up to 343 drop-points nationwide and now provides job opportunities to over 7000 employees across 15 operating gateways, making J&T Express more accessible to businesses and Malaysians.
The challenge for J&T Express was to deliver a large number of parcels within the promised time frame i.e. 2-4 days within the Peninsular region and 2-5 days for orders in East Malaysia. However, all deliveries were possible via a strategic transportation schedule and an efficient sorting system. With all the valuable experience, J&T Express put in place a master plan through consultation and input from its stakeholders. This allowed J&T Express to plan ahead and achieve a more efficient and speedy delivery to conquer the 11.11 shipments.
With 7,000 employees working till late night, hundreds of trucks on the move 24 hours a day, transit hubs operating in rotating shifts, drop points dispatchers swooping parcel deliveries over the weekdays and weekends, J&T Express is confident that it will be able to provide quality and premium service throughout the future 2020, crossing borders and pushing boundaries in the industry.
“J&T Express operates 365 days and uses an automatic sorting machine as a tool for efficient distribution of packages," said Roy Zheng, CEO of J&T Express Malaysia. "Shipping rate has climbed tenth times compared to the 11.11 online shopping festival last year and we proudly made various preparations to accommodate the high surges of shipments such as the addition of fleets and resources, " he concluded.
As the demand for shipping continues to increase, J&T Express believes it is able to satisfy the needs of the logistics market.
