J&T Express as the official logistic partner for Shopee in the e-commerce platform welcomes the festive 11.11 with a strategic operational plan. Preparing a month before 11.11 hits the shore, J&T Express Malaysia operation team gathered to give their insights and discuss the methods on how to improve shipping more efficiently.

At the annual E-Commerce Delivery Awards organised by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), J&T Express brought home two prestigious award for Delivery Excellence Award and Customer Service Excellence Award.

Mr Roy Zeng was proud to receive the award accompanied by J&T Express Assistant CEO, Ms Sunny Xie, J&T Express Chief Operation Officer, Mr Nick Xiong and J&T Express Marketing Director, Mr Jason Ren Jian Ping.

The annual E-Commerce Delivery Awards held was to recognise individuals and companies in the courier express industry for their utmost performance in the areas of innovation, corporate social responsibility, customer service and delivery performance.

This event was attended by Communications and Multimedia Ministry secretary-general, Datuk Suriani Ahmad and MCMC chairman Al-Ishsal Ishak.

Communications and Multimedia Ministry (KKMM) secretary-general Datuk Suriani Ahmad said 5G technology would transform the e-commerce consumer experience, facilitate instant purchases on the go, as well as making online shopping faster and more convenient.

“It will also transform the way people connect with products and services online, as businesses embrace technology to improve their marketing functions and creating new sales opportunities,” she said.

The Single’s Day Sales was at its peak and the public was very enthusiastic towards the end of the year. In addition, e-marketplaces are quickly becoming a “lifestyle destination” for shoppers as it moves away from pure trading by incorporating interactive shopping experiences through entertainment.

Mr Zeng added that J&T Express aims to be the best courier express company connecting Southeast Asia as the main transit centre.

“We are confident that we are able digitalise the courier express industry during the year 2020 building wider connections with major e-commerce platforms in Malaysia,” he said.

Suriani added, to adapt and compete effectively in this globalised economy, the postal and courier industry players must adopt growth strategies parallel to the digitalisation era.

“They must build strong business capabilities and extensive regional and international networks in order to seize growth opportunities.

This is especially so given the digitalisation of the global economy, with the increasing pervasiveness of e-commerce which allows even small companies to penetrate international markets,” she said.
